Moldgraf Monstrosity

Creature — Insect4 generic manaGreen manaGreen manaGreen mana

Killing the 8/8 trampler is the easy part; what you get for the trouble is two creatures clawing out of your graveyard and back onto the battlefield, and the design works hard to make that payoff frustrating rather than free. The randomness is the engine of that friction: you do not pick which two, the monstrosity exiles itself in the bargain (so there is no loop, no chaining the same body back), and the reanimation pulls from whatever happens to be in the yard at the moment it dies. A graveyard stocked with bombs hands you a windfall; a thin one hands you back a pair of dorks. The card sits in green's long line of expensive fatties that refuse to die cleanly, the lineage that turns an opponent's removal into a value trade for the controller rather than the caster. Where most reanimation lets the player choose the target, this one strips that agency on purpose, trading precision for quantity: two bodies instead of one, at the price of not knowing which two. It wants to be sacrificed or chump-blocked into a loaded graveyard, not to win a fair fight, and the eight points of trampling damage exist mostly to make the opponent want to kill it in the first place: the variance only triggers if they oblige.
