Molderhulk

Creature — Fungus Zombie7 generic manaBlack manaGreen mana

Undergrowth is a graveyard tax dressed as a payoff, and this is the card that shows what the mechanic was built to do. The printed nine in the corner is a fiction: every creature card in the bin shaves a generic off the cost, so in a deck that fills its yard early the 6/6 lands for a fraction of sticker price, sometimes as little as a few mana. That alone would be a fine green-black beater. The land recursion is what turns it into an engine piece. It returns a land card from your graveyard straight onto the battlefield, not to hand, so a cracked fetchland or a sacrificed utility piece comes back untapped resource for free, and the creatures that fueled the discount are the same fuel loading up the ramp. The whole package rewards a graveyard that has already done work: self-mill, sacrifice, fetch cracking, anything that buries creatures and lands together. The tension is that a 6/6 with battlefield land recursion stapled on wants to be expensive, and Undergrowth lets the cost float down to meet whatever you have already put in the yard. It is a recursion-and-ramp payoff that asks you to spend the early game digging your own grave, then cashes the whole hole in at once.
