Blue's theft spells usually take something already on the stack: this one taxes the act of casting itself, exiling the top card of an opponent's library the instant they make their opening play. The trigger keys off the first spell each turn per opponent, which means a careful opponent who holds up everything still feeds you the moment they commit to anything at all, and a table full of opponents multiplies the casts without you lifting a finger. What surfaces is genuinely uncapped: no mana value restriction, no chosen target, just the top card of someone else's deck handed over for free whenever the deck cooperates. The catch is in the timing as much as the randomness. The ability grants no duration, so the rules force the cast during the trigger's resolution or not at all; you take the card the moment it flips or you lose it, with no banking the steal for a better window. You do not choose what comes up, either, and a flooded library gives you nothing, so the seven mana buys an engine that grinds rather than a swing that closes. This is patient blue value in its purest form: a permanent that wins by hoarding an opponent's resources rather than assembling its own, the slow cousin to the spells that lift one chosen card off the top of the stack.
