Most evasion-granting creatures pick a single target and a single body; this one scales its reach to whatever it can pay for. The X in the activation does double duty as the mana cost and the ceiling on what it can sneak through, so it shepherds a one-drop past blockers for cheap and a finisher past them for a premium, all from the same untapped Wizard. That is a deliberate piece of cost-curve design: the ability is never priced wrong, because you only ever pay for the size you need this turn. The 1/2 body matters too. It is small enough to sit back and tap each turn without inviting attacks, which is exactly the posture a repeatable unblockable-maker wants. The wording carries one quiet wrinkle worth understanding: "power X or less" is a targeting restriction, checked when the ability is activated and again when it resolves, not a condition that lingers on the creature afterward. Once the ability resolves, the chosen creature is unblockable for the turn regardless of what happens to its power next, so you can buy clearance for a small body and then pump it over the top with the unblockable status already locked in. As a recurring, mana-flexible way to push damage through a board stall, it sits in the lineage of tap-to-make-unblockable enablers that turn a clogged ground into a steady drip of connections without ever swinging the maker itself.
