Meishin, the Mind Cage

A Fog that never wears off, scaled to how full your hand is. The conceit is pure control wish-fulfillment: keep drawing, keep holding, and every creature in play loses power for combat. With a hand of seven, most attackers swing for nothing; even four or five cards turns most aggressive bodies into harmless zero-power blockers. The toughness left untouched is the tell, this is not removal but a denial of the attack step, a standing pillow that punishes any opponent whose plan routes through connecting in combat. The symmetry is the catch the card design hides in plain sight: the minus applies to your creatures too, so a control shell can lean on it freely because it fields few attackers of its own, but the moment you deploy a threat to close the game, you both shrink your hand and weaken the very creature meant to end things. The effect also does nothing against direct damage, sacrifice, mill, or any line that ignores creature power entirely. The triple-blue cost and seven mana mark it as a top-of-curve commitment for a deck already living in the draw-go shell, where a fat grip is the default state rather than a sacrifice. It belongs to a lineage of defensive enchantments that read as near-invincible against the right opponent and entirely blank against the wrong one: cards whose power level is decided less by what they say than by who sits across the table.
