Maulfist Doorbuster
A 4/2 for four wants to swing, but a 4/2 that gets blocked dies. The two energy it brings on entry solve exactly that problem: enough charge to clear a blocker twice, converting the chump-block that would trade this body down into a forced eight points across two swings. The math is deliberate. The frame is too fragile to want a fight and too big to be safely chumped, so the energy bridges the gap just long enough to matter before it runs dry. After those two activations the doorbuster is a glass-cannon body again, which makes it both payoff and contributor: it funds a couple of its own attacks, and any other energy your deck produces extends the runway. The evasion is targeted and optional, so it also pushes a specific blocker out of the way to open a lane for a bigger threat behind it, not just to ram itself through. As a common, it teaches the mechanic through its own combat math, framing energy as a battery you spend on tempo rather than a counter you sit on.
