The trick here is that it front-loads the part you never want to pay for. Equipment's real problem has never been card loss (unlike Auras, the equipment survives when the creature dies); it's tempo. You pay to cast the sword, pay again to strap it on, and every time the board resets you pay the equip tax over. This one collapses that math on the way down: the enter trigger attaches for free to a creature you already control, so the opening swing is fully loaded the moment it resolves, no additional mana, no separate turn spent equipping. The steep four-mana re-equip cost is deliberately parked where it stings least, after a wrath, when you are relocating it to a fresh body and everyone is spending mana to rebuild anyway. What that structure buys is a conversion from accessory to threat: a modest ground attacker becomes a flying, first-striking clock that races over the top and holds the ground, since first strike plus evasion makes it miserable to block and dangerous to attack into. The balancing pressure is that same relocation tax, the recurring cost the design keeps quiet about power that is cheap to deploy and expensive to move. It sits in a line of white payoffs that reward committing hard to one creature, but where earlier designs in that lineage need the weapon to already be on the field, this one arrives holding its own delivery.
