Matca Rioters
Domain is the cleanest expression of a deckbuilding bargain that earlier multicolor sets kept circling: pay nothing extra at the cost line, and let your manabase determine the payoff. This is the floor-and-ceiling creature for that mechanic. Run a mono-green list and you have spent three mana on a creature that might not survive a single basic land type's worth of stats; assemble all five basic land types and it stands as a 5/5 that demanded no commitment beyond the lands you were going to play anyway. The wrinkle worth noting is that Domain counts basic land types, not lands: a single dual or shock that carries two types pulls double duty, and a fetchland that finds the right pair does the same. The body scales continuously rather than in a single threshold jump, so partial credit is always live, which makes it a more forgiving build-around than the all-or-nothing payoffs Domain is sometimes lumped in with. The catch is that the same externality that powers it also caps it: the stats live entirely on your lands. There is no way to grow this creature in combat, no counters to stack, no protection baked in. It is precisely as large as your land types and not one point larger, which makes it a fair reward for a manabase already bent toward five colors rather than a reason to bend one.
