Clone effects usually point at creatures, where the value is self-evident: find the best body on the board and become it. Aiming that template at Equipment instead is a stranger proposition, because the price is fixed at one mana and the payoff is entirely outsourced to what has already been cast. Resolve it into an empty board and it is nothing, an artifact with no gear to imitate. Resolve it across from a Sword of Fire and Ice, an Argentum Armor, a Batterskull, and it enters as a full copy of whichever you pick: same abilities, same equip cost, same everything, at a fraction of the mana the original demanded. Like every clone, it chooses rather than targets, so it slips past hexproof and shroud entirely, and the choice happens as it enters the battlefield, after everyone has committed their marquee gear. Crucially, "any Equipment" includes your own, so a deck can run a single expensive centerpiece and duplicate it cheaply rather than lean solely on opponents' investment. Still, it rewards a board already thick with premium Equipment over a deck building toward one particular sword. The closest structural cousin is Sculpting Steel, which copies any artifact at all. Narrowing the pool to Equipment is the whole bargain: less flexibility, far less mana, and a ceiling set by the best piece anyone at the table has bothered to assemble.
