The card converts dead cardboard into edicts, one for one, which inverts the usual logic of a topdeck game. A grip that would otherwise be a liability becomes the engine, and the worse your draws are stranded, the more devastating the entry. The catch lives in the same line of text. You discard your entire hand, not a chosen portion, so the cost scales with your willingness to dump resources you might still want, and the opponent sacrifices to their own discretion rather than yours, meaning each edict claims their least valuable body. That asymmetry between blind cost (everything you hold) and controlled effect (their worst creature) is the friction the design balances on: against a hand full of nothing it's a multi-edict swing attached to a 6/6 flier, but against a wide board of expendable tokens the trade tilts the other way. The reward for paying in full is a board-clearing political weapon and an evasive finisher in one frame, but it asks you to commit before you see whether the math favors you. Demon Dragons are rare enough as a type, and pairing the sacrifice-edict mechanic with the largest evasive body its mana will buy is the kind of pure black-red statement that doesn't bother with insurance.
