The keyword-stealing chimera is built on a single premise: that the rest of your board is a parts bin, and this thing assembles itself from whatever you bring. Its size scales off your creature count, but the more telling line is the keyword aggregation, which checks your board at the start of each combat and copies any of a dozen evergreen abilities you happen to control. That timing window is the whole engine. It does not snapshot on entry or stick permanently; it re-reads the battlefield every combat, so a lord you draw three turns later or a flier that survives a sweeper retroactively upgrades it. The reason it can dip into so many keywords without breaking is that it owns none of them itself. It has no flying, no trample, no lifelink in its baseline text; it is a blank slate that demands a board already carrying the abilities you want it to wear. That is the constraint paying for the ceiling: a single creature with vigilance, trample, lifelink, and double strike turns this into a game-ending swing, but only if you have spent the earlier turns building the kind of wide, keyword-rich board that also makes its body enormous. Stranded as the only creature in play, it shrinks to a 2/2 that gains nothing each combat, still dutifully checking an empty board for keywords to mimic. That gap between the alone-on-the-table floor and the swarm-backed ceiling is the tension that keeps a card this greedy honest.
