Creature — Human WizardGreen manaGreen mana

Library of Alexandria, the early-era land whose perfect-seven draw engine was restricted or banned in essentially every format that ever let it near a table, lives again here as a fragile 1/1 body with a green color identity the original never had. The conversion adds the usual costs of a creature version (a body that dies to a stiff breeze, a draw gated behind a tap) but leaves the heart of the design intact and just as demanding: you may draw only when your hand sits at exactly seven, which means you cannot empty your hand and refill it. You have to hoard. The card asks you to live permanently at the cleanup-step threshold, drawing one and playing one to stay pinned to a single number, never discarding, never starving, never overcommitting. That is a stranger building constraint than it looks, because most green decks want to dump their hands onto the board as fast as possible, and this one rewards the opposite discipline. The colorless mana ability is the consolation on the turns the count is wrong: a creature that taps for mana is doing honest work even when the draw clause is offline. It has always read better as a puzzle piece than a staple, wanting a deck whose hand breathes around seven rather than races to zero.
