Magmaquake
A board wipe that leaves your flyers standing and lands at instant speed: that combination is the whole pitch. Most mass-removal sweepers in red want sorcery timing, but scaling X damage on the stack lets you hold up an answer until the attack commits, then drop the board after blockers are declared or in response to a pump spell. The "without flying" clause is the deckbuilding instruction baked into the card; it asks you to fill your own side with evasive threats, then call down a quake that clears the ground-based aggression underneath them while your air force survives the blast. Folding planeswalkers into the same instance is the second axis: a single resolution can wipe a swarm and burn down a walker the opponent was protecting behind those creatures, which is the kind of two-for-one a sorcery-speed sweeper rarely lines up. The cost structure keeps it honest. With two red in the casting cost, the X is a heavy commitment of total mana, so the asymmetry only pays off when you can both afford a meaningful X and have built around surviving it. It is a sweeper for the deck that wants to win in the air and is willing to spend its turn holding the trigger.
