Maddening Imp

A coercion spell wearing a creature's clothes. The activated ability does something most removal and combat tricks never attempt: it seizes control of the opponent's decision-making during their own turn, forcing every non-Wall creature they control to attack, then destroying the ones that stay home when the turn winds down. The design logic lives in the timing window. By restricting activation to an opponent's turn before combat, the card hands you a binary ultimatum to spring at the exact moment it hurts most: either the opponent throws their board into your defenses (and your removal, and your bigger blockers), or watches their non-attackers die wholesale. Tappers like Master Decoy neutralize one creature; this answers a whole team's worth of choices at once, turning a developed board into a liability the controller cannot opt out of. What keeps the Imp from being oppressive is its own fragility and the visibility of the threat. A 1/1 flyer dies to almost anything, and because the danger sits in the open the moment it stays untapped, a careful opponent can kill it before combat ever arrives or simply decline to overcommit. It is a punisher card in the purest sense: harmless against an empty board, devastating against a full one, and entirely dependent on reading when the opponent has overextended into a position they cannot survive being forced out of.
