Vigilance is one of the few keywords that does aggressive work on defense, and this Elephant's design leans on that duality: it attacks and still holds the line, then hands the same permission to the rest of your board for a turn. The one-shot grant is the interesting piece. Rather than a static anthem that would make the whole team a permanent wall-that-swings, the trigger fires once on entry, so its value is a function of timing. Deploy it into a developed board and every creature you already control can crash in without leaving your defense open until your next untap; deploy it into an empty one and you have paid four mana for a serviceable body with vigilance and a wasted trigger. That gap between the two lines is the entire skill test the card offers, and it rewards holding the play until the swing turn matters rather than curving it out on schedule. As a common-rarity token-and-go-wide payoff it is plain by design: no evasion, no protection, just a temporary green light for an alpha strike that keeps your blockers home. It fills the slot a white weenie deck wants when the ground has stalled and both players are afraid to attack first.
