Long-Forgotten Gohei

Artifact3 generic mana

Two payoffs welded together for the same tribe, and the artifact only earns its slot when both are firing at once. The Spirit anthem is the obvious half: a flat +1/+1 to every Spirit, a static lord effect that ignores combat and color. The cost reduction on Arcane spells is the quieter, stranger half, and the one doing the heavier lifting. Arcane was the spell tag that bound the Spirit-and-Arcane theme together, a keyword that existed largely so colorless enablers like this could reward you for leaning into it. Shaving a generic mana off every Arcane instant and sorcery turns a deck stuffed with them into something running noticeably ahead of its curve. Neither half stands alone: the anthem wants a board, the discount wants a spellbook, and the card is dead weight unless you have committed to both pillars at once. That demand is deliberate. It is the connective tissue for an archetype the designers split intentionally across creatures and spells, a build-around that refuses to function until you honor both sides of the theme. Outside that shell it is an inert rock; inside it, it is the piece that makes the two halves feel like one deck.
