Living Lies of Loki

The clever half of this design is that the two abilities pull in opposite directions, and the tension is the point. The +1/+0 only ever buffs this creature itself, scaling off the number of other Illusions you keep on the board, so it rewards you for going wide and holding your bodies back. The death trigger pays you for the opposite: throwing this one into a block or feeding it to a sacrifice outlet. A 1/3 that replaces itself when it dies is a fair enough trade in isolation; a 1/3 that has quietly swollen into a real attacker off a table of Illusions turns the block-or-take decision genuinely awkward for the opponent, and every line still ends with a card in your hand. It sits in the family of fragile creatures whose payoff lives outside their own stat line, and the cantrip-on-death softens the floor: even a board wipe hands you a card on the way out. The Illusion type is doing the load-bearing work here: the buff is only as large as your commitment to the tribe, and away from a dedicated Illusion shell the body stays small and the card simply draws itself out of play. Read as a token of Loki, the illusions-and-treachery framing is honored by the mechanics rather than pasted on top: the more copies of the lie you keep in play, the more dangerous each becomes, and the truth arrives only once the deception is gone.
