Lifecraft Awakening
An instant-speed pump spell that doubles as an animation trigger, which is a stranger combination than the green numbers suggest. Most artifact-matters environments split those jobs across cards: one to grow a Vehicle or servo, another to turn an inert artifact into something that can attack. This folds both into a single X spell, and casting it at instant speed is what gives it teeth. Target a noncreature, non-Vehicle artifact and the counters and the body arrive together: it becomes a 0/0 Construct and the counters keep it alive in the same resolution. That timing opens a real window. A dormant artifact sitting on your board is an ambush blocker in waiting, provided you have the mana and the read: hold up the spell, let the attacker commit, then wake the artifact during the Declare Attackers step so the fresh Construct is legal to block. The 0/0 base is the constraint that keeps it honest, since the counters have to do double duty as both the creature's existence and its size; cast for too little X and the Construct dies to state-based actions before it does anything. Green has always paid in raw stats for the privilege of surprising an opponent at instant speed, and this applies that bargain to the artifact half of the board: cheap, scalable, and entirely dependent on you already owning an artifact worth waking up.
