Leering Emblem

Artifact — Equipment2 generic mana

Equipment that rewards the verb of spellcasting rather than the spell itself, which lands it somewhere between a combat trick and a value engine without committing to either. The +2/+2 fires for any spell you cast, so the natural home is a deck that dumps its hand fast: cheap cantrips, one-mana pumps, anything that chains two or three casts in a turn and piles the buffs on a creature already pointed at the opponent. The catch is the until-end-of-turn clause paired with a trigger keyed to your own casting, which leaves the Equipment doing nothing on a turn you hold up resources or pass with an empty grip. It wants a low curve and resents a clogged one. The cheap equip cost and repeatable trigger make it look like a permanent advantage, but the temporary bonus means it only converts when you are actively spending mana, turning each spell you were going to cast anyway into a few extra points of damage on a swinging body. This is a payoff for tempo decks that read their spells as combat math rather than card advantage, and it belongs to an older school of Equipment design that asked you to build around a narrow trigger rather than handing you a flat, always-on stat bump.
