Equipment carries a built-in tax that this body quietly waives: every Equip cost is a separate sorcery-speed mana payment, paid again each time you want to move the gear, and that recurring cost is what holds Equipment back in fast decks. Attaching on the enters trigger sidesteps the first Equip payment entirely, so a two-mana creature delivers itself with a sword already strapped on for no additional mana. The trigger reads "may," and both halves are targeted, which matters more than the rate suggests: you choose the creature, so the Equipment can land on a different, beefier attacker rather than the soldier that brought it. The double-white cost is the real constraint, pinning this to a committed white deck rather than a splash, and the body asks nothing of you afterward; it is a 2/2 that has already done its job by the time it resolves. The design makes Equipment behave like Auras that survive their host's death: the gear stays on the battlefield, the delivery man is expendable, and the value is front-loaded into the cast. As part of the white-weenie toolkit, it answers how an aggressive deck pays for its swords without losing tempo, by folding the equip step into a creature it was going to play anyway.
