First strike is the keyword the Ally tribe needed least and used best. Most rally triggers in this lineage banked toward raw stat growth or token generation; granting first strike to the whole board is a combat-math lever instead, and it reshapes attacks and blocks rather than just inflating them. The wrinkle is that the buff fires on entry, not on attack, so the natural sequencing is to drop an Ally before combat and then swing into a board the opponent can no longer block profitably: their 2/2 dies to yours before it deals damage, so it blocks and dies for nothing while your attacker walks away untouched. Because the trigger reads "this creature or another Ally," the effect belongs to the whole rally chain, not just this body: spacing Ally deployments across successive turns hands you a first-strike swing on each of those turns rather than dumping the whole hand at once. And the floor is higher than it looks: its own entry fires the rally, so even cast alone it hands first strike to everything you already control, making it a combat trick stapled to a 2/2 that the tribe then turns into a repeatable one. What it represents is a quieter strain of tribal design: an anthem that does not pump power or toughness but bends the combat step, turning a wide, otherwise unremarkable board into one the opponent has to respect on every swing.
