The reattachment line is what this card is built around. The +1/+2 is filler: plenty of white pump auras of the era handed out a comparable bump and asked nothing more of you. What earns the second mention is the blue-tinted salvage clause that lets the controller pick the enchantment up and move it to a fresh creature for three mana. That ability softens the central liability of the whole Aura archetype, which is card disadvantage to removal: kill the enchanted creature in response and the controller can redirect the Pride to another body in the same window, so instead of trading two cards for one (host plus Aura for a single kill spell), the exchange settles at one-for-one. The opponent still gets their creature, but the Pride lives to enchant again. The blue activation is what keeps the card honest. It signals a two-color deck (a very Alliances instinct, that set's commitment to allied pairs) and the three-mana price taxes the salvage, so reattachment stays a recovery tool rather than a free-floating threat. The effect reads like a primitive ancestor of later ideas about making Auras less of a blowout risk, solved here not by protecting the host but by saving the enchantment itself. A small card with a clever joint, the kind of marginal value piece early multicolor design used to test how much resilience an Aura could buy before it stopped being fair.
