Kithkin Armor
A two-job Aura that staples evasion to protection and dares you to use only one at a time. The first ability is conditional evasion tuned to its era's combat math: power 3 or greater was the practical line for a creature that could trade up or stonewall the board, so the enchanted creature ducks the heavier blockers while still answering to a 2/2 that wanders into its lane. The second ability is the more telling half. Instead of a static shield, it offers one sacrifice's worth of chosen-source prevention: name a source, and the next hit it would deal to the enchanted creature this turn is wiped. The restriction doing the balancing work is structural. The two halves draw on the same physical card, so the prevention is only reachable by tearing off the very enchantment that was granting evasion in the first place. You keep it attached for durable hard-to-block pressure, or you cash it in for a single emergency save, and the moment you take one you forfeit the other. It is a modest white common organized around a clean either-or rather than raw rate, the kind of small interactive puzzle the game leaned on before keyworded protection grew cheaper and broader.
