Symmetry is the whole pitch, and the symmetry is a lie. The land cull hits every player equally, knocking each board down to three lands, which looks fair until you remember who casts it: a red deck built to function on three lands and dump a hand before the bomb lands. The trick is sequencing the asymmetry yourself. You play out your threats, empty your hand, then drop this and reset the world to a mana count that crushes the control or ramp deck still holding cards it can no longer pay for. It belongs to the lineage of red Armageddon effects (Wildfire is the cousin that scaled the same idea to a damage sweep), but where those are sorceries you fire and forget, this staples the reset to a body, so the same card that strips the lands also starts attacking. The 3/3 frame is the cost of the wedge: the body folds to the smallest removal, which means the land-cull has to do its work the turn it arrives, because the creature is not a long-term threat. That fragility is the discipline keeping the rate honest. A four-mana sorcery that left everyone on three lands and added a clock would be a different conversation; here you pay the full five and accept a body that vanishes the moment anyone untaps with an answer.
