Color-pie heresy made into a beater. Green almost never gets to punish lifegain (that hostility belongs to red and black), but here the entire growth engine is keyed to your opponent's life total going up. The 2/2 trample body is a starting point, not a stat line: every point an opponent gains feeds the creature one-for-one, so a Sphinx's Revelation, a soul-warden trigger, even an incidental lifelink attacker swings the math against the player doing the gaining. That inversion is what the card is built around. Lifegain is normally a stabilizing tool, a way to buy turns against aggression; here the act of stabilizing becomes the thing that builds your clock. The counters are permanent +1/+1s, not a temporary pump, so the growth sticks and the trample makes it lethal as soon as the body outgrows the blockers in front of it. The price of that inversion is silence against any opponent who never gains a point, which leaves it a hate card wearing a creature's body: dead against the matchups that ignore life as a resource, oppressive against the control and combo decks built to hoard it.
