Two of green's classic effects welded together, either usable alone but both available at once if you control a commander as you cast it. The animation half is the more interesting of the pair. Turning any number of your lands into 1/1s with vigilance, indestructible, and haste is nominally a beatdown enabler, but the indestructible clause is what carries it: it hands green a way to swing with its whole board through a blocker or survive a sweeper without losing the underlying permanents. The second mode is a bite, not a fight, and the distinction matters. Each creature you control deals damage equal to its power to a single target you don't control, and that target deals nothing back. This is one-sided removal that scales with your board, giving green a way to erase a problem creature without the customary combat-math cost of trading its own attackers into it. The commander rider is the design hinge. Both modes are individually fair; stapling them together at instant speed is the payoff, and it converts a defensive posture into a lethal turn: an alpha strike from animated lands alongside a coordinated bite that clears a blocker or removes the opposing threat. This is green's "everything at once" instant, where the ceiling lives behind a deckbuilding condition rather than a mana premium. The two-mode ceiling only comes online in a build with a commander to unlock it.
