Kabuto Moth

Creature — Spirit2 generic manaWhite mana

Repeatable combat math, parceled out one swing at a time. The tap ability hands a creature +1/+2 until end of turn, which reads small until you notice the toughness bump runs in the same direction as the attacker's survival: a defending creature lives through a trade it would otherwise lose, an attacker punches through a blocker and walks away. Because it costs only the tap, the moth turns every combat step into a question the opponent has to answer before committing blocks, and it keeps asking the same question every turn it untaps. A pump effect stapled to a permanent rather than burned on a one-shot trick changes how the opponent has to treat it: a creature that grants combat advantage repeatedly forces them to play around it indefinitely or kill it, and a 1/2 flyer is cheap enough to be worth killing yet annoying enough to soak a removal spell other threats would rather absorb. The flying body sees less use as a clock than as a low-stakes attacker; more often the moth stays home, holding its tap up so that any creature the opponent commits to combat walks into a surprise +1/+2 on the block. This is the white archetype of the patient, board-anchoring utility creature: not a threat that ends games, but a fixture that quietly bends every fight in its controller's favor each turn it survives.
