Jwari Scuttler

Creature — Crab2 generic manaBlue mana

A 2/3 with no text and nothing to say for itself, which is exactly the role it was built to fill. Defensive blue commons exist to buy turns, and three toughness on a body that costs one more than the cheapest early threats is enough to brick most ground attackers while the deck does its actual work somewhere else. The Crab type tag is the only flavor wrinkle, and the design is otherwise the plainest thing a card can be: a wall by stat line rather than by keyword, cheap enough to slot into a tempo or control shell that wants to survive the early turns and unremarkable enough that it never has to be answered. This is filler in the honest sense. It fixes a structural gap in a low-rarity slot (a cheap blue blocker to hold the line) without asking for any deckbuilding commitment or rewarding any. Vanilla creatures like this are the connective tissue of a set's commons, the cards that make the curve fill out rather than the cards anyone remembers, and reading more ambition into a 2/3 than the type line supports is a mistake the card itself never invites.
