Jousting Dummy
The mana-sink body is one of the oldest teaching tools in the game: give a common a small stat line and a colorless pump, and every leftover point of mana late in a game finds a home. That is the whole job. As a Scarecrow Knight it slots into a knight-matters shell without asking for colored mana, and building the pump in the artifact frame keeps it universal: any deck can run it, any deck can crew its late turns off it. The activation is expensive on purpose, priced so it never dominates a board on its own but always gives you something to do with an unspent pool. It is filler with a function, the kind of two-drop that fills out a curve, feeds tribal payoffs that count knights or artifacts, and turns the dead mana of a stalled board into a slow trickle of extra damage. Nothing here rewards a build-around; it rewards having nothing better to do, which in an aggressive shell is more often than it sounds.
