Unblockability with no strings attached is a deceptively old unit-economics trick: a small body whose every point of power converts to guaranteed clock the defender cannot trade away. Simic gets the version with no upside bolted on, and that bareness is the whole pitch. There is no evasion conditional to satisfy, no toughness threshold, no "as long as" clause to play around: the creature connects every turn it survives a sweeper or a burn spell, and the only counterplay is killing it before combat. That makes it a clean carrier rather than a threat in its own right. Strip away the body and what two mana buys is a reliable delivery mechanism, the kind of thing that wants Auras, Equipment, or counters stacked onto it so the unblockable damage scales while the defender's blockers sit idle. The Rogue typing nods at that role, the small evasive striker that does its work through connection rather than size. As a creature it asks almost nothing of the deck and gives back exactly one promise, which is why it reads as a tool more than a card: the unconditional unblockable clause is the entire offer, and offers this simple age well precisely because they never stop being true.
