Three power on a single point of toughness is a body engineered to die, and every line of the design leans into that. Deathtouch turns any point of combat damage into a kill, so the fragile toughness that invites a block or a chump makes the trade expensive: attackers and blockers alike lose a creature to touch it. When the Cobra falls, whether it eats a removal spell, chumps a bigger threat, or trades in combat, the death trigger refunds the loss as a Treasure that fixes any color. That is the reframe worth noticing. Green's mana creatures are usually assets you protect and tap for years; this one pays out exactly once, when it hits the graveyard, which slots it into decks that already treat their creatures as fuel to sacrifice, block with, or shove into combat. The value sits on the back end, tied to death rather than survival, so the usual math of keeping a mana source alive gets inverted. The two halves do separate jobs: deathtouch taxes anyone who meets the Cobra in combat, punishing a blocker or an attacker for engaging at all, while the Treasure makes losing it to a removal spell a wash rather than a loss. One warps their combat math; the other refunds you regardless of how the Cobra dies. A threat that demands an answer, makes the answer costly, and hands you mana when it finally dies.
