Iridescent Drake

Creature — Drake3 generic manaBlue mana

The whole design exists to recur Auras from the graveyard, which makes the 2/2 flier less a creature than a delivery mechanism with wings. The enters trigger grabs a dead Aura and reattaches it to the Drake itself, answering the oldest problem in Aura strategies: card disadvantage. Enchant a creature, lose the creature, and the buff dies alongside it; this pulls that Aura back and gives it a new host in one motion. The friction Wizards built in is the targeting clause, which demands an Aura already sitting in a graveyard. The card has nothing to fetch until you have spent enchantments, and that prerequisite keeps the rate in check, since an evasive body wearing a recurred aura re-deploys a permanent the deck already paid for. The wrinkle that has fascinated combo players for decades is that the Aura need not enchant creatures in spirit: as long as it can legally attach to the Drake, it lands, and a recursion loop opens whenever a sacrifice outlet and a return effect line up to bounce or recur the Drake itself. What presents as a humble flier is really a reusable graveyard hook, the body almost incidental to the engine wrapped around it.
