Most card advantage stapled to a creature asks you to pay for the draw up front and accept a worse body. The megamorph design here splits the payment across two windows: three mana now to bluff a facedown 2/2, then the flip cost later to become a 3/2 menace attacker that rips an extra card off the top. Crucially, that flip is yours to time. Turn it face up in your second main phase to refuel after combat, in response to a removal spell to bank the value before the creature dies, or skip the morph charade entirely and drop a 2/1 with menace on turn two when that is the card the situation calls for. The trade-off is concrete: cast normally it is a faster, smaller body with no card attached; megamorphed it is a bigger evasive threat that pays you once, and only once, when it flips. The exile-and-play clause is not raw card draw. You get the top card for the turn only, so the reward goes to an aggressive curve that can actually spend the card before the window closes, not a deck that hoards resources. That expiring quality is the whole point: the advantage is a single tempo-positive burst rather than a recurring engine, and a fast red deck is built to convert exactly that low-ceiling value. Menace then keeps the two power chipping in once the board clogs.
