Invisible Woman, Sue Storm
The defensive counterpart to a counters-matters aggro shell, and the design is unusually literal about it: while other Heroes accumulate +1/+1 counters and threaten to attack, this body's job is to make sure nothing gets through the other way. A 2/5 with lifelink is already a wall in creature's clothing, but the real engine is the token trigger, which converts each round of counter-growth on your other Heroes into a fresh 0/4 defender. The result is a board that widens defensively every time it grows offensively: the same +1/+1 counters that push damage also stock the front line, so the aggression and the fortification feed off a single input. That coupling is what makes the ability worth building around rather than a stray value bonus; a counters deck normally trades its life total for tempo, and this reverses the equation, banking blockers and lifegain out of the same actions that would otherwise leave you exposed. The Wall tokens are deliberately toothless (0 power, defender), so they never contribute to the offense they were spawned by. They exist only to hold ground and buy the time the counter engine needs to close. Within the Human Hero package she is the anchor rather than the payoff: the card that keeps you alive long enough for everything else to matter.
