A tutor stapled to a land, gated by the deck it wants you to be playing. The artifact-count threshold is the whole conditional: control three or more and the upkeep lifegain ticks and the sacrifice ability comes online, turning a colorless source into a four-mana hunt for any artifact in your library. That gate is what pays for putting an unconditional tutor on a permanent that also makes mana. Fall short of three artifacts and it is a plain colorless source that does nothing else, the lifegain trigger dormant until the board fills out. Once the deck earns the requirement, it becomes a buried answer waiting to surface whatever the board state demands: a cheap cantrip, a combo piece, an artifact that functions as a sweeper, all while having quietly produced mana and padded your life total on the turns you were not yet ready to crack it. Because it sacrifices itself to find the card, this is a one-shot resolution, not an engine; it spends the permanent for the selection, and you get exactly one search out of it absent recursion. The design lineage here is the conditional toolbox land: a permanent that does ambient work for free and converts into selection once you have met the requirement. It asks you to commit to artifacts before it rewards you, then hands those decks the thing they most often lack, which is consistency.
