Inspiring Captain
The anthem-on-a-stick is one of the oldest tools for a go-wide deck, and this is the four-mana, common-rarity execution: a body that hands your whole board a temporary pump the turn it lands. The +1/+1 lasts only until end of turn, which is the constraint that keeps the rate fair. There is no lingering anthem the way Glorious Anthem or Intangible Virtue leaves one; the effect is a single combat's worth of reach, banked at the moment of arrival. That timing is where the card earns its keep. A blink or flicker effect re-triggers the enter ability, turning the captain into a repeatable burst that can be spent on a defensive turn to ambush attackers or saved to push through a stalled ground. Because the pump fires on entry rather than on attack, the ideal sequencing is to deploy it before combat into a board that is already wide, letting the +1/+1 reach creatures that can swing immediately. On a clogged board the extra point pushes damage through; on a developed one it tips a race. It is a creature built for the deck that already has the bodies and wants one card that converts a wide board into a lethal one, sold at common so that token and aggressive white strategies can run it without paying a rarity premium.
