Inquisitor Exarch

Creature — Phyrexian ClericWhite manaWhite mana

Two white pips for a 2/2 whose enters trigger nudges two life in one direction or the other is, on the rate, a non-starter; the body never justified the double-white commitment on its own. The design lives entirely in the modality stapled to a small Phyrexian body, built for a faction that grinds incremental advantage rather than swinging for damage. The choice between gaining two life and draining two from an opponent reads as trivial until you remember it is attached to a permanent that can be flickered, reanimated, or simply replayed: each loop moves two life, and the direction is whatever the board state demands that turn. Against aggression you stabilize; against a slower opponent you chip away at their total. The aristocrats-adjacent logic is that the enters trigger is the payload and the 2/2 is just the delivery mechanism, which is why this kind of card lives in shells full of blink effects and sacrifice fodder rather than in fair midrange. The stats are deliberately forgettable so the trigger can be reused without the card feeling oppressive: a repeatable two-life engine piece whose entire value sits in how many times you can make it enter, not in what it does when it attacks.
