The whole gambit lives in two competing instincts: you want a hand stuffed with cards to maximize the output, and you want those cards turned into something faster than red can usually manage. Spend everything you draw and the ritual sputters; hoard it and you produce a mountain of red mana with nothing red to do. That tension sorts the card into one of two homes. The first is the explosive storm-style turn, where a fat hand of cheap spells doubles as both the fuel and the payload, and the ritual is the bridge that lets you cast the back half before your resources run dry; the design answers the same question storm formalizes. The second is the wheel build, where you refill to a fresh seven and convert it directly into mana, turning a draw-seven into a burst of energy rather than just gas. What it is not is a stable ramp piece: the output is hostage to the worst resource a deck has, which is its own hand size at a single instant. Compared to fixed rituals that always net the same return, this one trades reliability for a ceiling, and the ceiling only matters if a deck is built to cash a one-time surge of mana in the same turn it arrives.
