Incubator Drone
Two bodies for one card, though the interesting one is the token, not the Drone. The Scion is a deferred-decision engine: a 1/1 that sits on the board as a chump-blocker or an attacker until the turn you would rather have a single colorless mana, at which point you crack it. That late-binding flexibility is what most token-makers at this cost lack; you are not committing the resource to a role until you know which role you need. The 2/3 Drone is deliberately plain, its whole contribution routed through a token that plays defense, offense, and ramp across three separate turns. Devoid is the piece that welds it to a wider colorless shell: despite the blue pip in its cost, the card is genuinely colorless, so it registers as a colorless permanent for anything that counts them (processors, colorless-matters payoffs, the ramp engines that convert small bodies into large mana). It belongs to a brood of cheap Scion-makers built as fuel for exactly that kind of machine, each one a body that converts into either a blocker or a point of colorless mana on demand, with the choice always made a beat later than you would expect.
