Hunter's Insight
Green's card advantage usually charges a toll: a body left behind, a tempo loss, an upkeep payment. This one converts unblocked power into cards instead, and the conversion rate is uncapped. The play pattern is a timing trick. You declare the spell during the declare-blockers step, after you know exactly which attacker is getting through and how hard, then let the delayed trigger watch combat damage land and refund you cards equal to the connection. Cast it before combat and a removal spell in response shrinks or erases the payoff; wait until blockers are locked and you are pricing the draw with full information, paying three mana for a number you have already counted. The failure case is honest and steep: a chump block, a damage-prevention effect, or an instant-speed kill spell before damage turns this into a three-mana instant that draws nothing, and a board with no real attacker turns it into a dead card in hand. That asymmetry is the entire bargain, enormous when it resolves on a trampling or evasive threat and worthless otherwise. It belongs to green's lineage of "reward the connection" draw effects that ask you to win the combat first and collect second: a refill button for the deck that already controls the red zone and wants to convert a stalled-out opponent's stabilization into an unrecoverable hand.
