Hunters' Feast

Sorcery3 generic manaGreen mana

The targeting clause is the whole card, and it only means anything at a crowded table: "any number of target players" collapses to "you" in a duel, where six life at sorcery speed for four mana is a rate lifegain has beaten in every era. The design exists for the political moment instead. Each chosen player gains the full six, so the lever is not how much life you distribute but who you include: hand it to an ally to keep them in the game, pointedly leave an opponent out to mark them, or spread the gift across the players you would rather not antagonize so everyone walks away owing you a little goodwill. That turns a plain lifegain sorcery into a small instrument of negotiation, where the effect is fixed and the guest list is the actual decision. It belongs to a quiet category of free-for-all designs whose power level is beside the point and whose social leverage is the entire function, which is also exactly why it reads as filler anywhere a game has only two seats and the "any number" reduces to a single target. Outside group settings, six life on your own turn for one green commitment is the kind of rate that gets passed over without a second look.
