Hunted Lammasu
A 5/5 flyer for four mana is well ahead of the white curve, and the price is paid in kind: target opponent gets a 4/4 black Horror to deal with. What makes the bargain lopsided is that white is the color best equipped to render its own gift harmless. Removal answers the Horror, an evasive attacker races over the top of it, and combat math rarely favors a non-evasive 4/4 staring down something that flies and outsizes it. The donation mechanic that defines these "Hunted" creatures hands an opponent an undercosted body in a hostile color; this is the iteration where the trade leans hardest toward the caster, since the 5/5 with flying simply outclasses the thing it gives away. The wrinkle worth flagging is that you choose the recipient. In multiplayer that turns the token into a political instrument: hand the Horror to whoever can least afford to block it, or to whoever you most want to provoke into a fight with someone else. The broader idea (gifting opponents creatures you can answer or weaponize) has remained a recurring curiosity rather than a fixture, but the version that pairs an evasive body with a grounded gift is the one where the giver almost never regrets the deal.
