Hold for Questioning
Blue has always had the "tap it down and don't let it untap" school of removal: Claustrophobia and Waterknot froze creatures in place while the color's harder answers bounced or countered. What this design adds to that template is a paper trail. The enters trigger both taps the enchanted permanent to steal an immediate turn and hands you a Clue to cash in later, so a one-for-one removal Aura quietly puts you a card ahead once the token is cracked. The lock is also more thorough than a simple tap-down. Shutting off the untap step is standard, but disabling the enchanted permanent's activated abilities matters against creatures whose whole threat is a tap ability, and reaching planeswalkers means a loyalty engine can be frozen mid-plan rather than ticking its way free. The concession is the usual one for a removal Aura: it does nothing to stop the controller from sacrificing, blinking, or bouncing the enchanted permanent, and any of those sends the Aura to the graveyard with it. So the answer is soft rather than permanent. What it trades away in certainty it recoups in tempo (a tapped-down turn now) and in cards (the Clue banked for later), which is a more honest bargain for blue than the color's usual choice between spending a card to bounce a threat back or leaving it on the board untouched.
