Hive Stirrings

Sorcery2 generic manaWhite mana

Two bodies for three mana is a price white pays without blinking, but the bodies here come stamped with a creature type that has no business being colorless. Slivers are the game's longest-running shared-ability tribe, where every member quietly hands its keywords to the rest of the board, and the joke of these tokens is that they bring nothing on their own: a pair of vanilla 1/1s whose entire value is that they answer to a lord. Drop them next to any Sliver that grants haste, pumps power, or hands out evasion, and the two blanks inherit the whole rules text. That is the design logic at work: the card is deliberately underpowered as a stand-alone token-maker so that it can be correctly powered inside a deck built to feed it. Outside that shell it is an overcosted way to make two chump blockers; inside it, it is two more conduits for a board-wide buff the rest of the deck is already paying for. The colorless typing is the quiet flex: it slots cleanly into a five-color pile, where a token's color can decide whether a given pump or protection effect even sees it. A support card in the truest sense, written to be invisible until the lord it serves is in play.
