Heirloom Blade
Equipment that pays you back for losing the creature it made bigger: the +3/+1 turns any body into a threat worth answering, and when the answer comes, the death trigger digs to the next creature that shares a type. That death clause is what makes this a tribal engine rather than a stat stick. It reads generously (dig as deep as you need until you hit a matching type) but the real catch is that you have to hit at all: in a whiff-heavy deck the trigger can dig past your whole library and find nothing, netting you no card. The design only sings when your creatures share a dense, well-supported type, so that the "shares a creature type" search lands early and the buried cards are ones you didn't need. It rewards concentration, not breadth. The equip cost of keeps it moving between bodies, which matters because the trigger only fires on death, not on unequip: you want the Blade strapped to whatever is most likely to trade or be removed, converting each loss into a fresh draw. In practice it functions less like a piece of gear and more like a recursive tribal tutor stapled to a growth effect, filling the slot where a mono-typed deck wants insurance against removal without diluting its curve with card advantage spells that don't also affect the board.
