Hedron Fields of Agadeem

Plane — Zendikar

A plane built around a single, evocative contradiction: it locks down the biggest bodies on the battlefield while manufacturing exactly the kind of body it just forbade from attacking. The static effect grounds anything with power 7 or greater, which reads as a defensive brake until you notice what the chaos trigger keeps handing you: a 7/7 with annihilator 1, sitting on the far side of a wall it cannot climb over. The tension is the design. Every chaos roll adds another Eldrazi that can neither attack nor block on this plane, so the tokens pile up as a threat deferred rather than delivered, a promise of what happens the moment the group planeswalks away and the lock lifts. That deferral is the whole flavor: Agadeem as the prison-plane where the Eldrazi were bound, the hedrons doing the same structural work the static ability does, holding titanic power in stasis until something breaks the seal. Most chaos planes reward you now; this one banks power for later and dares the table to leave before the vault opens. Its payoff lives entirely in the gap between what it creates and what it will not yet let that creation do, one of the cleaner marriages of dice-driven chaos and Zendikar's imprisonment mythology.
