Hanweir, the Writhing Township

Legendary Creature — Eldrazi Ooze

The meld payoff for the half that hits the battlefield: when Hanweir Battlements and Hanweir Garrison combine, this is the body you get, and the design is built to punish you for ever holding it back. A 7/4 with haste and trample wants to swing the turn it arrives, and swinging is exactly what manufactures the two 3/2 Eldrazi Horrors, already tapped and attacking, so the attack trigger does its own work and adds bodies to the assault at the same time. That is the engine: attacking is not the cost of the bonus, it is the entire transaction, and a creature with this much rush has no reason to sit home anyway. The numbers compound fast (the meld text alone puts thirteen power across the red zone the first turn it connects), but the structure is the interesting part. Most token-generators ask you to commit resources and wait; this one front-loads everything into the combat step, which means the meld investment of two permanents pays off in a single attack rather than over a grind. The trade-off baked in is the 4 toughness on a body this large, and the fact that the Horrors arrive committed to an attack they did not choose: they enter tapped and swinging, so they contribute nothing to your defense the turn they are made. This is a creature designed to end games on offense, and the meld cost is paid on the assumption that offense is where it stays.
