Guiding Spirit
A graveyard tool from an era when graveyards barely mattered, which is exactly what makes it a curiosity now. The ability is purely interactive: tapping it tops a creature card from a graveyard back onto that player's library, which can target you (a slow, repeatable Reclaim-on-a-stick for your own creatures) or an opponent (a way to deny a recursion engine its fuel, or worse, to redraw them into a card they did not want). The friction is the tap symbol and the conditional: it only works when the top card is a creature, so you are at the mercy of whatever the targeted graveyard happens to be presenting, with no way to dig past a non-creature card. That makes it a reactive lever rather than a reliable engine, designed on the assumption that graveyards fill slowly and players will not be sculpting them with self-mill or flashback. The body is small and the color pair unusual for a graveyard answer; white and blue were not yet the recursion-and-denial pairing that later sets leaned into. It is a fragile 1/2 flier whose real text is a slow-motion graveyard wrench, built for a metagame where one creature topping a yard was a meaningful swing rather than a rounding error.
