The Rally keyword turned the Ally tribe into a payment engine, and this is the version that asks you to spend mana for board presence rather than a one-shot pump. Each Ally that lands offers the same transaction: feed it one mana, get a 1/1 Plant token. That optional cost is what keeps the design grounded; with no mana free, the trigger simply passes, so the body never threatens to snowball unattended the way a free token-maker would. The Plant tokens matter because they are not Allies themselves, which means they widen the board without compounding the engine, a deliberate firebreak in a tribe built to chain triggers off one another. In a slot crowded with Rally payoffs that drew cards or pumped power, this one chose the most fungible reward: bodies, on demand, scaling with your remaining mana rather than your hand. The 3/3 frame is workmanlike, the kind of stat line that exists to be a reliable Ally rather than a marquee one, but the repeatable token production is the actual job. It rewards a board already going wide and converts excess mana in the late game into a slow flood, which is exactly the conversion a creature-swarm deck wants when its hand is empty and its mana is not.
