Great-Horn Krushok

Creature — Beast4 generic manaWhite mana

The 5 toughness is the whole design here, and everything else falls away from it. This is a wall in creature's clothing: a blocker with enough back-end to stonewall the two- and three-power attackers that fill out aggressive curves, sturdy enough to trade up or hold the line indefinitely against anything its size or smaller, and thick enough to survive the burn that would pick off a flimsier defensive body. It carries no evasion, no activated ability, no late-game pivot, no recursion hook. Once it resolves, it asks nothing further of the player except to be left in front of a lane. That makes it a clean teaching case for how rate alone defines a creature: strip every keyword away and what remains is the naked question of whether that body, at that cost, earns a card slot on its own terms. The honest answer is that a roadblock this passive lives or dies by how much pressure the table brings to bear on it. Against a board full of small attackers it buys turns; against fliers or a single large threat it does nothing at all. It exists so a defensive deck has a brick to set down and trust to hold, and it is content to be exactly that and nothing more.
